Mukisa at Wakiso Chief Magistrate Court
It was a somber mood in Wakiso Grade One Magistrate's Court on Wednesday afternoon when Deo Mukisa alias Kabenje who is accused of killing a toddler appeared before court. Relatives of the deceased couldn't hold their tears when the self-confessed killers of 4-year-old Elvis Kibule stepped in the dock.
Some of the minor's relatives who couldn't hold their emotion walked out of the courtroom. Prosecution told court that on December 24, 2018 while at Bulenga in Wakiso district, the suspect kidnapped Kibule and started calling his parents for ransom.
However, it is alleged after receiving the ransom, Kabenje killed the minor and dumped his body in Lubigi Wetland. Kabenge was tracked down using his cell phone and picked up by police detectives and operatives from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence.

URN has also learnt that police detectives and CMI operatives are investigating another case where the suspect is implicated for murdering his girlfriend, Zurah Namusoke. According to information obtained by URN, investigators discovered that the suspect called the toddler's parents using the same number he used to call Namusoke's parents for ransom, a day she went missing.
During interrogation, Kabenje reportedly admitted having poisoned Namusoke for allegedly aborting his baby. He led investigators to a place in Kyotera district where he had dumped her body.
