Woman Arrested for Killing Husband`s Girlfriend

Charles Mba Ulangi, a resident of Angir cell in Nebbi Municipality, who reported the matter to police, says that the late Ayirwoth was called by the suspect’s husband to spend Monday night with him.
Nebbi police are holding a woman for killing her husband’s girlfriend. The suspect is Florence Giramia, a resident of Mbaro Akaba village in Nyaravur Sub County in Nebbi district.  

Giramia is accused of beating Joan Ayirwoth to death on Tuesday night. Charles Mba Ulangi, a resident of Angir cell in Nebbi Municipality, who reported the matter to police, says that the late Ayirwoth was called by the suspect’s husband to spend Monday night with him.  

He, however, says upon receiving information that her husband had brought his lover in their house, Giramia stormed the house on Tuesday evening and assaulted the deceased to death.

Josephine Angucia, the West Nile Region police spokesperson, says they are investigating the suspect for murder charges vide CRB 784/2020 at Nebbi central police station. She says the deceased’s body has been handed over to Nebbi general police station pending postmortem.
